  • For five straight seasons (1998-2002), Vladimir had at least 30 HR, 100 RBI and 100 Runs. This puts him in select company with Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig,
    Jimmie Foxx and Frank Thomas.
     
  • Vladimir had the longest hitting streak in the Major
    Leagues for the decade of the 1990's. In his 31-game
    stretch (July 27-August 26, 1999), he batted .386
    (49-127) with 11 HR and 27 RBI. Nearly half of his
    hits went for extra bases.
     
  • At the end of 2003, Vladimir was tied for the second highest BA (.323) of all Active players. He was also fourth best in Slugging Percentage (.588), just behind Manny Ramirez and just ahead of Alex Rodriguez.
